Awarding diplomas to the Vladimir Potanin Foundation fellows at MGIMO

On 26 May 2015 at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) an award ceremony will take place for participants of the professional traineeships program for MGIMO students. MGIMO Rector Anatoly Torkunov and the Foundation General director Oksana Oracheva will be awarding diplomas to winners of the program.
In 2001 along with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the MGIMO the Foundation launched a long-term traineeship program for MGIMO students. Within a framework of this trilateral relation the Foundation annually supports foreign traineeships for best MGIMO students. At first stage of the program preferences were given to traineeships in Eastern Europe and CIS countries as well as to countries of rare sophisticated languages. These were most problematic areas, short of human resources, etc. Every year with the support of the Foundation the traineeship opportunities were given to 25-30 students. In 2007 a number of students, participants of the program doubled, consequently an amount of financing increased. Annual grant fund of the program amounts to 9 million RUB, since 2015 it is 15 million RUB.
A list of countries where students' traineeships are conducted has been expanded. This academic year 58 students, winners of the program, went to 36 countries to get traineeships. The students have improved their language and negotiation skills, learnt more about document management workflow.
